Based in Houston, Texas, Scott Buckwald is the President of Xedia Process Solutions. With almost a decade of experience in the oil and gas industry, Scott has a strong commercial and technical background that has allowed him to gain an in depth understanding of industry needs and offer the best-in-class technologies and solutions.

Scott’s career focus has been on building proprietary technologies and implementing them into the oil and gas market on an international level. In the early stages of his career, he spent a significant amount of time in R&D and Operations roles where he implemented a proprietary, revolutionary water treatment technology and transitioned the technology from bench-scale to full commercialization through conducting R&D laboratory testing, field demonstration trials, leading to the first commercial system sale.

Scott has a strong technical understanding of technology which is complimented by his in-depth commercial knowledge and experience. Scott has led the development and growth of proprietary technologies into new market segments in the oil and gas industry, managing all stages of the sales cycle from proposals to closing and works closely with his clients to ensure their needs are always met to the highest satisfaction possible. His experience in developing and implementing sales strategies to enter new markets has led to growth and profitability for his companies.

Strategic Planning: developing business plans, sales strategies, and working with top level executives & decision makers.
Product Development: Extensive experience in R&D and global pilot projects of new products to position them into new market segments.
International Project Management: Managed a portfolio of international projects across four global offices and ensured adequate resources were available and client needs were met or exceeded.
New Market Development: Implemented proprietary, “value-add” technologies into new market segments in the oil and gas industry. Identified client needs and tailored the technology offering to meet the clients needs and price point.

Scott earned his B.A. in Business Economics from The College of Wooster, OH.
